Good site with recommendations for homeschooling various books and curricula for each grade level.  Also has some homeschooling resources for family.  I would check it out and then read reviews (and buy) from amazon as it’s almost always cheaper than everywhere else.

 

Weekly Review

So I’ve realized, we need to review what we’ve done throughout the week.  My goal is to reinforce what they’ve learned so that they don’t forget it.  It’s slowed us down from the original “plan” a bit, but, I want him to KNOW this stuff.

So I’m leaving Friday and the weekend for weekly review.  Mostly for Math, Grammar and Islamic Studies, and then once we’re done with a chapter in science or geography we review the vocabulary and concepts there.  Language arts gets a lot of attention, so I feel like we’re ok there.  Once we’re further along in Arabic, perhaps we can review that as well.
